As title states. Currently have Samsung miracle ram. But with ram prices increasing was looking at picking up another set of ram different then the Samsung.

Their price seems a little high. Why switch from the Samsung RAM?

Not sure if this will be any useful at all but I was running some DDR2 GEIL Black Dragons a few years ago. I didn't really bother messing with the timings or so and they also never ran hot; which is one of the reasons I don't care if RAM has heatsinks or not these days.

Not looking to replace the Samsung's. They are insane for the $40 that I paid for 8gb. I'm looking to get a backup set to have on hand. It may sound weird to some but I have an obsession with ram modules. Also the geil black dragons would look bad ass in my asrock z77 itx board, same black and gold pattern

It certainly does look good. Reviews are very good. Price also looks good at second glance in comparison. I'm just used to only buying stuff during deals.

Geil Black Dragon is nothing more than a style variation. The ICs they use are usually no different to similarly spec'ced RAM so if you're looking at some DDR3-1600 version, don't expect it to pull overclocking miracles.

Well besides the Sammy's being pushed hard by me right now especially since I got them to finally boot at 2000mhz. What ram besides the Sammy's would allow me to push them with a 3570k?
