Should i overlock my intel i5 650

here are my specs

CPU: Intel Core i5 650 @ 3.2ghz (4 CPUs)

RAM: 8GB

GPU: ATI Radeon HD 5670


i would like to try to overclock to 4ghz, can i do this safely?

The more locks the better, just make sure they are Master lock wink.gif

Its possible if you have the cooling for it.

how can i determine if i do or not? becuase when i bought the pc i upgraded the gpu to the one i have now, and the guy who did it said i shouldnt go any higher or ill need a better power supply...

What size powersupply do you have? As well are you currently overclocked or sitting at stock speeds?

everything is stock, and how can determine what size power supply i have? is it in dxdiag?

You will have to open it up, it will be under Output on the label of the PSU.

okay i will open it up tomorrow, hardcore gaming going on tonight, is there a certain wattage i should be looking for?

I would say 500W or more is what you would need.

is there a link to a guide of how to OC my CPU aswell? i know alot of things about computers but a guide would be great smile.gif
