Best Possible gaming rig setup for fx 8350 vishera ? - Page 7

From what I'm seeing, the 660Ti actually performs quite a bit better than the 7870, however I believe each of these cards will be sufficient for all games.

EDIT: Just in case people were wondering:

660: 980MHz Clock (turbo to 1,033MHz) with 960 Cuda cores.
7870: 1GHz Clock, 20 Compute Units (1280 Stream Processors), 80 Texture Units, 128 Z/Stencil ROP Units, 32 Color ROP Units.

Trying to figure out which is better? GFL...

BTW, can someone hit me up with a few benchmark links? I need a few more.

EDIT: The "GFL" comment wasn't a challenge, honestly, good luck figuring out which one would be better.

Stop hijacking this thread with these useless 660ti vs 7950 vs 7870 posts. The op needs a concrete answer and not a comparison war.

Now back on topic: lookatmenow, if the prices are similar, go with the Gigabyte 990FXA-UD3.

Final PC specifications:
cpu - fx 8350 vishera

Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3

saphire hd 7950 with boost

corsair tx 650 650 watt psu

1 tb seagate baracuda 7200 rpm

8 gp corsair vengeance 1600 mhz ddr3 (Corsair ram sticks are generally more expensive. See if you can find G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3).

h100 cooler corsair ( Try to get the H100i)

^ and thats a pretty good build. A 990FXA-UD3 and H100(i) will carry you to 4.8-5Ghz with ease unless you get a complete dud of a chip.
