1) the board is very nice, not sure what else you'd want that this board wouldn't offer?

2) also 680 isn't worth the extra cash - get the 670 FTW 2GB and enjoy the extra cash in your wallet.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130787 $379 after MIR, that's $100 less for maybe 2-5 frames difference? OC and away you go, seriously 680 isn't worth the extra cash imho.

Thinking of getting a different board, but I'm deadset on the 680.

Looks good, except you might want to consider going with the Extreme6 for a little more money. Also, SAMSUNG SSD's are awesome, but they are overpriced. Go with an Intel 335 or 520 series. As fast as the 840 Pro's but much cheaper. Also the WD Black drives are unnecessary. Go with the WD Blue's or the new Seagates.

Besides that looks pretty solid.

I also want to suggest a soundcard and a headset. Personally I recommend the Asus Xonar DGX for a cheap and effective sound card and a Steelseries 7H for headset, I have both and I enjoy them alot. And yes the GTX 680 is overkill, a 7970, hell even a 7950, will do you more than good. Best of luck on the new build thumb.gif
