Rebuild around the Vishera

Hello everybody,

due to overspending, im planning to sell a lot of my parts that i have left over and in current rigs.

So basically almost everything from my Landmine C70 rig should be gone except for my:

AMD FX-8350
G.Skill Ripjaws X 16GB (now currently in my brothers PC, the InWin 890 I believe)
Enermax Modu87+ 800w PSU (planning to swap with the XFX 750w in my first build)
Auzentech X-Meridian 2G PCI soundcard (temp sound fix)
PNY XLR8 GTX 670
SSD & HDD's

So the rebuild that i need to plan includes:
AMD FX-8350
ASUS Xonar DX
ASUS Sabertooth 990FX GEN3/R2.0 (upcomming i hope)
PNY XLR8 GTX 670
Xigmatek XLF Orange w/ White LED Case fans

I would severely appreciate your help on choosing another:

Case (not perfect so i can mod it, MODDING FTW!!; also smaller than the Corsair Vengeance C70)
16GB (2x8GB) DDR3-1866/2133 Ram (that fits colour scheme of the Mobo)
CPU fan/heatsink (i planned a watercooling loop but thats DAMN expensive)
Power Supply (needs to handle 2 670's)
5-6 channel Fan controller

Or should I just put the AMD FX-8350 in my brothers rig and get on with life with my first build?
(yea i know i have to update the mobo's bios first)

thanks so much for your ideas, they actually help more than you will ever know, i think.

eh?

on the Rev2 board you don't have to update the bios, same goes for the CHV Formula -z or pretty much any other board that's had a new version released since Vishera came out

i think you misunderstood me. I meant to flash the bios on the MSI 890GXM-G65

I don't get it. You said you had a problem with overspending on components. And then want advice on getting one of the more expensive AM3+ motherboards and ANOTHER case+fans+heatsink?

And you want 2x8gb of super fast RAM (paying more for color) why?

And you tell us you ALREADY have two PSUs that can handle SLI 670s and you need another one?

You're not solving a problem with overspending, dude. You're trying to figure out how to continue to overspend. You obviously don't build with gaming/any kind of software performance in mind. You build for the fun/art of it. So just figure out how much money you have to spend on your hobby...

If that's not much, build a case from the ground up out of scrap metal or wood or something.

You know what?? You are absolutely correct (+rep) I DO have a problem with overspending. I actually needed to hear that from someone else than a family member. Truly thank you.

Umm about the PSU thing... Thanks again, this time for pointing out that 750w is enough for GTX 670 SLI. Actually I was planning to move that to my brother's pc and sell his OCZ ZS 650w along with a one of the pc cases i have.

About the Ram:
Heat spreadder colours other than Red and Blue cost more?
From your comments about 'super-fast ram, I assume one can overclock their ram to higher speeds; for example 1600mhz to 2133mhz?

and about the case: I would build one from scratch however I have neither the tools nor the workspace to do so (my garage is full of space hindering, cluttered electrical to install in houses). So i meant something sub $100 to mod and progressively make better. Something like the Enermax Ostrog that i got for ~ $40.

Again thamks alot for the reaffirmation of my overspending, I really needed it.
