Her ein the UK, the only channels to be free of adverts are the BBC ones, because they are paid for with the TV licence. Otheweise, any cable subscription should be free of adverts. They're annoying and unnecessary. Especially when watching a film. Every 15-20 minutes there's an ad break. Well, in the age of having boxes that allow you to pause live TV, adverts are unnnecessary in films.
Then again, this is the very reason I don't have a TV licence, subscription or anything like that. I refuse to pay to be advertised to.
