IDK about that, but the cpu will no post anymore. I'm running a Phenom II 970 right now, because my CPU is dead. I should have Sabertooth back on Monday or Tuesday and I'll test it again.

I only loosened the timing to 10/10/10/36@1.65v. if I loosened them up some more and bumped the voltages a bit more, I am almost certain we could get over 2000mhz.

I killed an FX 8120 with a short on the board.
same board still works fine with my phenom II.FX cpu is completely dead.

Crucial Ballistix 2x4gb is well know to hit 2200 with 9-9-9-27-1T with 1.68v. But still the 8320 will no post or boot @ stock settings.

WOW!!! lachen.giflachen.giflachen.gif
Try an 8 core not a cheap 4 core under DICE or LN2. I'm talking about a 8 core under a cheap water cooling setup. So you need to quit posting DICE or LN2 runs when people are talking about air or water coolering setup. So I can hit those speeds too, but I not going to break out my pot to do it.

And I can easily run 4 sticks of 1866 in this mobo, so what does ram speed have to do with a dead cpu?

EDIT
I killed this CPU by ocing the FSB for some strange reason and the mobo is running fine. I will try my 8320 in my Sabertooth mobo when I get it back within 2-3 days. Just to make sure it is the cpu.

I just fail to see how this broke your CPU... but then again I am pretty ignorant on AMD overclocking. Someone enlighten me on how ram timings broke his cpu plz.
