Try an 8 core not a cheap 4 core under DICE or LN2. I'm talking about a 8 core under a cheap water cooling setup. So you need to quit posting DICE or LN2 runs when people are talking about air or water coolering setup.

I can use my 1100T since I don't have a FX 8 core CPU - It's very hard to keep it cool as I've discovered already..

BTW, I didn't notice anything previously about a particular form of cooling to be used to reach a given OC - All I've seen so far has been about overclockability of a given model board but since you have now defined that, I'll keep those out.
Mind you I didn't slam the Biostar's; I admitted some have hit some good clocks before BUT (To be fair about it) I can only go my own experience with it and the others for a comparison. I do have a custom H2O setup and will be happy to do some runs before long with it and the 4100 or even the 4300 if you'd like, complete with pics.

I agree though if I had a 8 core FX chip that would be the best comparison but I don't so the 4100 or 4300 or perhaps the 1100T will have to do if I do it.

Yeah I just killed my sibling's Phenom II 550. XD Tried to push a 4.4GHz overclock and it kinda died. >.>

Oddly enough, 4.2 was stable at 1.45v. O_o On air mind you.

EDIT
I'm planning on buying a FX-8350 in a week anyways and give this 8320 to my brother, but it looks like my brother is going to wait a little longer for a 8320.

I understand and know how that goes.
I too don't like an audience distracting me since it's all too easy to mess up and cook some hardware. redface.gif

Well this is my luck on computer parts I have RMA in the last month or two.
AMD e-mail this today.
We can’t find a match for your Serial # 9H71805I2**** in our database, can you please double check you have provided us with the correct number. Alternatively please provide a high resolution image of your processor or PIB box that shows the serial number and attach it to your response.

hello,
did you try it with out any ram in it please ?
then try a single channel ?

my Athlon, which extreme failure has replaced, it memory controller messed up and was only able to run single channel with out bsod's, I rma'ed half my 8gb of ram to find it was the cpu, but after leaving it idle for a few months, it booted dual channel.

I would guess that the memory controller has gone rather than the cpu chip, and it might work in a single channel?

have u registered your cpu when you bought it please?

I had to for cash back?
