I will be getting 2x 7970, along with a 850w corsair AX psu.

The graphic cards are 6x8 pin but i dont see any 6x8 pin cable included with the corsair psu from newegg. ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139015 )

What's the problem here? could i have a detailed explanation if the psu will work or not even though 6x8 pin cables arent stated? Do they come with the gpu? me confused frown.gif

Right under the "Details" tab it states that the PSU comes with 4 x 6 + 2 PCI-e connectors, so you should be fine.

Many people will argue that 850w is plenty for 2 x 7970s, but it has been shown that an overclocked and watercooled system can pull close to 1000w from the wall. However, I think there is some sort of 20% rule that what the system uses is 20% less than what the reading from the wall is so that would mean you'd only need an 800w PSU.

I'm not positive on that though. I had a 1000w PSU with my CF 7970s, but never measured my power draw.

Would a 1000w bronze psu be better than a 850w gold psu? Would i be good to go with crossfire and everything with this psu?

I'm not familiar with that brand.

This PSU has really good reviews:
