BatchMark! (PUBLIC RELEASE!)

Thread Starter
This is BatchMark! Made by myself, from scratch!

Its a benching tool that is meant to test the speed at which your processor can run. It was built entirely in windows Batch.

It is just something fun, it is by no means a burn test, it doesn't stress your processor at all, it just measures how fast it can work.

This can now be considered a full bore benchmark! There will be more versions to come, but I have to learn new programming languages before that will happen!

BatchMark V1 Release notes:

- Running the processes involved with BatchMark! in realtime is not recommended, it skews the results in a negative fasion.
- Remember to turn off Power Now and SpeedStep for an accurate result.
- Feel free to distribute this anywhere and everywhere!
- Thanks to EVERYONE who helped out!

Without further a due! BatchMark.zip 36k .zip file

The rules for submission!

- Must have a screenshot of the "SCORE" screen on BatchMark fully visible
- CPU-Z must be in the screen shot
- Have fun biggrin.gif
- Remember, the lower your score the better!

Would you be willing to include the code?

Running various .exes from a 2 rep person (even if you've been here for a year) could probably be a bit disconcerting for sum.

Well, they run smoother as a .exe, i worked on them for like 8 hours today (Well, "it", the difference between them all is literally one number) Running them as a .bat, they hang when you open a program, or they run slower with multiple .bat's running. As a .exe, they aren't affected by any of that. No idea why.

Not sure if I'm understanding your problem. Just ran it myself and my score actually increased by 3 points. I ran it while opening tons of programs, while opening other CMDs and while closing programs and absolutely nothing changed and the .bat didn't hang at all.

If you don't mind me asking, what line of work do you do (that has you doing things relevant to this) or what gave you your interest in making these kinds of files if you don't do something similar at work?

Says virus detected. Pretty much trojan horses and other stuf... (using AVG), or is this false-positive?

I work at a call center. Nothing relevant to this at all honestly. I'm just nerdy as a deathstar icecube, or a pair of oldschool cokebottle nerd glasses. I just do stuff like this for fun.

Also, I tested the .bat files as .exe at my work, on their computer (probably older than myself.) I'll upload the .bat files in a zip as well.
