Well, both the ST30 and it's 100% thicker brother the UT60 have the same FPI count of 10.
Yet, at speeds below 1000 rpm, the ST30 performs slightly better
than the 100% thicker UT60.
The only difference between those two rads is their thickness. They have the same maker, same built, same FPI, same everything, but their thickness.
The reason the ST30 performs better at slow speed is that the slower fans can not develop enought pressure to push throught the thick rad. As speed increases, the UT60 slowly gets ahead of the ST30 because at higher speeds, the fans can build enough static pressure to allow the 60mm thick rad to breath.
So to make up for the thicker rad's innability to breath at slow speed, one would see a good performance increase by going push/pull.
