OCZ Vector trades blows with 840 Pro so imo getting the cheaper one if you chose between the two. I only got a 840 pro recently because it was on sale for $200(and I trust Samsung more than OCZ when it comes to SSDs).

You can boot super fast with ANY current SSD. Boot times vary about 1-2 seconds max b/w current drives on the market.

I love my Samsung 840 Pro. Corsair is close, but it loses out to the 840 Pro

Here is a benchmark of my 840 Pro:

Here is a benchmark of the Corsair Neutron GTX:

Sadly, you just missed a deal from Newegg on the 840 Pro.

[newegg.com] 256GB Samsung 840Pro $199.99 + FS

When that was in effect, it was bigger, faster, and less expensive. thumb.gif

Samsung/Intel/Crucial, any of these will be decent, reliable SSDs.

OCZ/Corsair/Mushkin all have some pretty unhappy users on their forums, possibly due to firmware issues on Sand force controllers. This may have improved now though, it's been 12 months since I was SSD shopping and weighing them all up.

I would try calling newegg and ask them if they could give you the $200 deal they had yesterday.
