I have used...
SUPERAnti-spyware
Malwarebytes
Search & Destroy
AVG
Microsoft Security Essentials

It is not listed as any browser extension or add on, it is not listed in add/remove or other uninstall utilities or listed under any other known identities.

Does anyone know how to eradicate this thing?

It might not be listed as "'CouponDropDown" in the Programs and Features control panel.

Failing that (that is, failing looking for something suspicious by a different name), look in these 3 Registry keys for something suspicious:

  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
  • HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

Edit: what is that a photo of anyway?

It's not a useful plugin or malware but very bad adware, so it's best if you just remove it rather than have a program that is in the gray area in terms of security. I read about it here: http://www.shouldiremoveit.com/CouponDropDown-28735-program.aspx

Because it is not necessary malicious (other then displaying ads) most AV programs will not detect it. Unfortunately there are not too many adware removers that will take care of it so it will need to be done manually for the most part. That site above has some basic recommendations how to do it.
