CaseLabs Shipment to Europe takes forever with USPS

So i ordered a few more components for my build. Unfortunatly i was not smart enough to buy the HPTX board layout in the first place.

The problem is the ordered is shipped on 11 January, and the latest update from USPS is from 12 January. Since that day nothing else has changed in the tracking order.

Do USPS take so long with the shipping ? I think there are bound to be hiccups since USPS, the United States Postal Office is not a worldwide Corporation, like Defex for instante. Fedexx is to be found all over the globe, thats why i had no problem what so ever with the first order which was shipped with Fedex.

Just a Hint to caseLabs, use Fedex for international Orders, even if its a few dollars more. I would have allready received the Package had it been shipped with Fedex.

I dont know whether the Package is Lost ''in Translation'' or if it really takes so long for it to arrive here. Unless it is shipped with a raft, i don't know what is taking so long.

The Shipping number is CJ491528609US
and the latest update states:

Processed Through Sort Facility January 13, 2013, 12:43 am
ISC LOS ANGELES CA (USPS)

Its not even on the east Coast, for god's sake frown.gif

Does it suppose to be taking so long ?

Please Caselabs, if you have any experience with USPS shipping to europe, let me know if this is the norm or not.

Hello,

USPS is slooooow for international orders, but it is usually half the cost of FedEx. I am certain your package is very close, its just that USPS priority mail doesn't track packages outside of the US. So when you try to track the package it only shows the last scan inside the US. The other issue is that once the package arrives overseas the local post service takes over for the remainder of the shipment. I'm willing to bet that your order will arrive within the next day or so.

So i should be waiting for a package delivered with the deutsche Post then ?
Fedex was sweet because it showed tracking of the package regardless of region.

FedEx is faster because they service "both" sides and deliver door to door, but as Kevin pointed out, they are much more expensive for small orders. USPS is generally pretty good, but the "ownership" of the shipment changes to the local postal authorities in customs. Every one in a while, they get held up in customs for inexplicable reasons during the transition and it can take a while to sort out rolleyes.gif

We generally default to USPS for international shipments because the overwhelming majority of our customers want their orders shipped the least expensive way, but you can specify FedEx on future shipments

Still no news so far for the package. Is there any way to find out where the package is ?
8 February is coming in hot, and im ordering the last batch of components, with which my computer will be functional, and i need the conversion board to mount the dual lga 2011 board.

By the way, it was a pain in the ass to take out the board part. had to take out allmost all the case. smile.gif But thats the least of my problems.

As long as its not lost its ok. Im sure it must be somewhere in germany by now. Ill also ask moaday in Zoll-Amt in Papenburg (thats the customs near my location) if they got something for me from America.

For international order you should recommend your customers to ship with fedex, even if its a penny more.

Shoulda got fed economy, which I thought was like parcel force economy we use at work. Parcelforce economy takes 40 odd days to get to the USA. FedEx got here in 4 days posted on the 1st delivered just 5 mins ago and FedEx tracking says its due for tommorow smile.gif

Not bad to the UK. Tho not looking forward to the import tax bill

Good morning,

I ordered my STH10 last Tuesday (29th Jan.) from CaseLabs, it was shipped last Friday (1st Feb.) with FedEx to Holland where it arrived this morning via France (5st Feb.), 40 km from its final destination. Let's see what Customs is going to do with it.

Greetings,

G.
