Apart from what dtolios said, which is very correct, modern technology also creates new problems which will require more technology to fix which will create other problems.
For instance if this is implemented - it will now be possible for your shoes to malfunction. You will have to get them serviced. The man over there will probably wonder whether you've been wearing them wrong. After convincing the man you are properly trained in the difficult art of correct walking he will reluctantly replace the battery. That new battery may explode when exposed to heat (running in hot days). You will now have to see the doctor ... and buy new shoes.
