Based on what you were saying it does sound like you would be a palm gripper if you had a proper sized mouse for it.

Any chance you could go to a Best Buy or something and try them out? Some Best Buys have mice out on display, might help you pick.

They have the G400 in stock for $30 and the Deathadder for $60 but I might be able to get them to price match Amazon. I'll go there later today and see if I can try them both out and buy it there.

Thanks for all the help!

G400 is good for 800DPI, and DA is good for up to 1800DPI. Since you are moving to a 1440p monitor, getting DA maybe a safer bet if you don't have a very low sens.

From My experiences the g400 is good on 400/800 dpi when it comes to max tracking speeds. the deathadder 3.5 performs great on 450,900,1800 dpi in terms of tracking speeds. 3500 tracks ok too but dosent have a high IPS

Do you know how higher DPI levels like 1200 or 1800 are on the G400?

I used other levels before but those were for web surfing or if I was playing a mmo games. I wouldn't really recommend using Logitech software though cause LGS 8.40 is giving some weird problems right now people are complaining about random dpi changes when apps are open I too experienced this myself . Without software the dpi lvls are. 400/800/1800/3600 (800/3600 are its native steps). without software this most runs pretty well. If your low sens player or need high tracking speeds use 400/800 dpi. If your mid sens I say try 800/1800. 3600 if your like high sensitivity in my op

For the deathadder 1800 dpi setting has the highest IPS. since I dont skip alot when using this on quake or counter strike like on the other settings. With Mark C Fix and lower window sensitivity to 3/11 it basically 450 dpi I perfer my DA though the most cause of it shapes. the g400 is comfortable too though

I use older LGS 8.20.74 and don't have any issues, I still have old installer if anyone is interested.

See images below:

I use 1200DPI 125Hz for desktop or less demanding games (in my case everything except CS 1.6), it looks less jittery than 1000Hz.

Max speed at DPIs above 800 is about 2 m/s, it's enough unless you plan to play FPS games with low sensitivity at high DPI.
