how can I defer youtube embeds untill site is loaded? - Page 2

I really don't think using Javascript in this kind of way is a good thing. Some people have JS disabled, some browsers interpret JS differently (though with this kind of script, it's basic enough that there shouldn't be an issue).

Maybe I'm old school, but I think a page should render correctly without Javascript; using such code for interactive elements rather than pushing the content itself.

Also, I'm not convinced deferring processing like this will improve the perceived page load times anyway. It might actually make the user feel the page is taking longer to load as the video frame doesn't pop up with the page itself. However we'd have to test that -comparing with and without- to really know for sure. But it's something to be aware of smile.gif

I am interested in what the results of this were. Is there any update to it?

Js actually delays the rest of the page from loading, and is inevitably used in youtube videos, by defering it it allows the rest of the page to load then loads the js, efectivly cutting page load times, especially if the js is large in file size, and the solution on page 1 worked great for me with the disadvantage of not being able to use full screen
