The Logitech G400 is a narrow mouse while the Deathadder is wider and widens up more towards the front. I've been gaming with its predecessor, the MX-518, since I was little and it didn't feel too big for gaming in those days.

The G9X has been a work horse for many gamers and has proven itself over the years but right now apparently the consensus is to stick with regular optical sensors and not laser. I use the Logitech G500 which is equipped with the same sensor and the tracking isn't all that drastic or too different from other mice and I've had no problems using it on my Razer Goliathus and cheapo CompUSA cloth pad but it may have problems with thicker cloth pads (haven't tried it myself). Keep in mind that the G9X is a bit pricey unless you get it on sale or used.

Just read you play with 400 DPI, the Spawn is out as its lowest is 800.

The Savu is looking nicer and nicer biggrin.gif Now I know you edited your post but I'm guessing I can still order online correct?

I had the Savu but didn't like the somewhat "heavy" cable that comes with it unlike the razer brands which comes with the lighter braided cable. Anyways, you can try it but then if you're not happy, just return it tongue.gif

Alright, I think I'm pretty set on getting the G9X since it's very popular among the crowed here at OCN. I do however have a few questions; Can I setup the side keys to use Team Speak shortcuts? Will I run into surface problems with my Xtrac xxl mouse mat?

I have the side buttons set for push to talk and mute in TS, so you shouldn't have any problems smile.gif

On the G9x there's inherent acceleration and some can notice it, some it doesn't really bother them during gaming. Most say that you need a hard mouse mat if you want the laser used in those mice to perform at their best (of course my experience was different but still).

You should still be able to order the Savu online but I haven't tried since I live close to the retail store.

no you can't disable it.

Acceleration means: Your on the screen Mouse movement will be influenced by the speed with wich you're moving your Mouse.
The avago 9500 (g500) has about 5% pos. Acceleration.

Wow, this is really a hard choice to make... Go with the Savu which is optical but sides loose their grip? or go with the G9X which is praised by all but has it's own faults as well.... Can someone help me make the right decision?

if you're really into fps, i would go with the Savu. Using it myself for 6 month and sides are ok. (i think it depends on your sweat)

but if it wears down i will rip it all off. I think i would like it even more without that sandpaper on the sides biggrin.gif

LOL I just looked at the chart and it seems the Savu is bigger then the Deathadder... Is this right?
