Anyway, I have a couple of questions and I hope they are not redundant but, you people all seem considerate so I am going to ask. Here it goes: Well, first my background: I am poor college student and I take blended courses so I rely heavily on my PC and I simply pray for no need to RMA.

Anyway, does this beast just plug right into a 120 outlet? About how long is the typical shipping? I was thinking of VESA mount does the back plate come off? I have a Dell 2408 WFP right now and I want a giant IPS, I guess I will notice a big difference? I don't do a lot of gaming but my daughter is growing like, well, a child does; and she is starting to play DOOM and stuff like that. So, I am I making a good decision or should I just go to Wal Mart and order a Dell for $200 more? Thanks a bunch!

The monitor comes with a power brick that accepts a standard cable so there wont be any issues with power. I ordered from Bigloftcraft and once the monitor shipped it was here in 1 day... was super fast. the stand does come off the monitor and has standard VESA mounts. going from 1080p to 1600p will be a huge difference. Honestly if your willing to take the rsik the monitor is great and worth the $$ i paid 490 for mine.

I ordered mine from BigClothCraft and got the pixel perfect version for $540. It will arrive on Tuesday. I plan to do a detailed review once I get it and post it here. In the meantime can someone look at the back of their monitor and tell me what size the holes are in mm or inches for the screws for VESA mounting ? thanks man!

Nice find... Question for you guys... They all seem to be multi input, is there still an input lag issue with this feature? I am a Q270 owner and this may be a nice upgrade for me.. Just two things I don't want tempered glass (dulls the colors) and I don't want the multi input (input lag issues) do they make this model without those two features? I would use DVI-d only

well I might have answered my own question, if the 300 Sparta is VESA standard, the holes should take either 4mm (M4) for 100x100 or 6mm (M6) for 100mm x 300mm or one or the other for all holes. I'll just get a set of both sizes in case.

yes you can get just the DVI-D version only, but I havent seen one without the tempered glass. I think you can find one but its not called a yamakasi. when do you get input lag ? when running HDMI or just DVI-D on the multi ? sounds fishy that it is an input lag

I purchased mine over a year ago and although it would be impossible to find. In the korean monitor thread there were tests done to confirm that there was enough input lag to deter people that liked to do FPS shooters from buying the "multi" input catleaps. I was wondering if the same problem existed here. Although just like yourself there were beleivers and skeptics on the subject. I just stayed away from it "just in case" I have no need for HDMI anyways unless the new PS4 coming uses display port or the new Hi-Def HDMI or something like that and can drive this resolution I assume that I will only have my pc plugged into it.

Just to add: Mine was purchased through bigclothcraft and came pixel perfect as ordered and it was pretty fast shipping. I think I ordered on Monday night and recieved it Friday.

OK, good to know. Was that any of the overclocked 120hz versions of the Catleap 27" you are refering to about the input lag ?

I don't think so. But I wasn't lucky enough to get one of those with the overclockable pcb frown.gif I don't think they use that pcb anymore anyways and when they do they know it and sell them for a fortune am I correct?
