Looking into water cooling for the first time.

I will do cpu now and add my gpu's later. Would this be a good starting kit? HERE

Anything else I would need? Maybe a drain?

Also it says it will work with 1155. That's still compatible with 1156 right?

That's a pretty decent starting point, but a drain would help in maintenance. 1155 and 1156 have the same mounting.

Thanks, and do I need to buy coolant or just use distilled water?
yeah, a drain will help. I use a 3 way valve and then if I want to drain I just stick a hose on the unused barb and turn the valve. Then I can drain mostly under power and not wait for gravity.

I use distilled water with a just a couple drops of dish soap...has worked great for me for years. Though when I have it I use a few mL of glycerol instead of soap.

I recommend distilled water, used in combination with either the IandH Dead-Water that comes with the kit, or a silver kill-coil.

Yea, it seems like it would be very useful. Got a link to that?

Here is the one I use.

Though I am sure there are prettier ones out there. I purchased mine about five years ago (this same one from US Plastics...they are a good source of tubing and fittings)

Here's some pics of what I have so far.
I should have done this a lot sooner.
