Thread Starter
OK my Athlon 64 ven 3500+ 2.2ghz wont go past 2.4 it will go all the way up to 2.488 but wont hit 2.5 when i do i get a blue screen and it angers me. i get it maxed at 2.4 and when i run aquamark3 i went from about 55,000 to 60,4XX when i run 3dmark03 i get a score of 9,000 when i oc my CPU up to 2.4 and oc my stable GPU it locks up ,. so its stable to a certain extent. anyway i can't oc in the bios it skips my clocks so I'm using easy-tune 5. when I'm at 2.4ghz my temps maxed out are 32c i have stock cooling, now i have a question.. IF i change the vcore will it make me be able to do 2.5 even 2.6 stable?? i don't wanna mess with my VCORE in the bios though im Kind of scared to make my CPU Go BOOM. anyway its set stock right now,, and what should i do please give me a little help on how to get up to 2.6 without many problems.. I wanna see my aqua-mark hit 70,000!~!!!!

THANKS GUYS

yea upping your v core will help you increase your oc just do it the minimal amount possible every time to get the most effective oc. you may want to examine your ram speeds as they may inhibit your cpu speed

lol dude. your venice <3's vcore. you'll be safe. you won't blow up that processor. just keep it around 1.55v should be good enough for at least 2.5 if not 2.6 be sure to up your northbridge voltage a tad, set your PCIE clock to 107 and set your memory to like 2.8v. run a divider if you have to.

I can get no higher than 2.46GHz if I want to be prime stable. I used gogars.

Going by newb overclock, I achieved 2.64GHz at 1.6v but it wasn't stable one bit on prime yet handled 3DMark06 fine.
