Help choosing a GPU for crysis 3

Hi guys, my 5770 crossfire is beginning to show its age, and I'm pumped for the release of crysis 3. I'm wondering if a 2GB 670 will be enough for me to run max (or close) settings with 60+ fps. I'm currently at 1080p but looking in the future to go 1440p. Will the extra memory from a 7950 be beneficial, or should I get a 4GB 670? I'm under the impression that crysis will run better on a 670, although I've personally had little experience from the green team and haven't had any issues with crysis 2 on my 5770 crossfire. I will be overclocking via MSI afterburner, so saying that I should get a 7950 and overclock the hell out of it "to get comparable 670 performance" is kind of nill, since I would be overclocking the 670 also.

I also use after effects quite a bit, as well as cinema 4D. Will either of these cards perform better in this aspect?
Here's what I'm looking at:

You should be fine with either card. Obviously the AMD GPU will overclock wayyy better if you get a well made card. The nvidia does not overclock as easily for a few reasons, however you can overclock them quite well once you figure out all the secrets. In my personal opinion I would go with the 7950 if your trying to save a little cash because you should be able to squeeze more overclock-ability out of it. But honestly you cant wrong with either card regardless of the memory (2gb vs. 3gb or) unless you plan on doing multiple monitors and sli or xfire either of two it will probably affect that. If your an nvidia fanboy get the 670 you wont be disappointing either way im sure.

Although I believe that people in here, still don't know who will perform better between 7000 series and GTX 6 series on Crysis 3....but I suggest you buy a 7950 because of the price....you can CF them in the future if you want.

But for a GTX 690 user, the latest driver from NVIDIA looks promising....an improvement up to 65% on Crysis 3 open beta.

Is waiting for the 8xxx series worth it? Either the extra performance from 8xxx, or the money saved in buying the 7xxx series after 8xxx has been released. I think my 5770s could run crysis 3 acceptably on very low settings. What kind of price drops will we see with the 7xxx series once 8xxx is released?

I think you better get Crossfire 7950 if your budget is allowing you, yes maybe 8xxx is more powerful, but you need to wait for a 'good' driver to make your card perform flawlessly like you want.

13.1 Is very 'big' jump from AMD....Performs like hell for most people....as for the price drops, maybe you can buy a 7950 with only $200, lol

670 will do you well... only a 5% drop down from the 680 in real world testing and even then you can overclock it a little to match a stock 680. I recommend Nvidia for Crysis considering the Crisis franchise has always favored it but ATI has some strong offering for around the same price as the 670.
