Dont get a rampage board no reason to. Waste of money. All you need is a simple atx sli ready board.

If you're looking to spend that much on a motherboard I'd go with a Gigabyte Z77X-UP5.

Their UP boards have pretty much the best VRMs on the market right now (Better than Asus or MSI), which is what you want for hitting those maximum clocks. Alternatively, you could go with the Z77X-UP4 to save a few bucks. Biggest difference would be a 6+2 phase digital PWM compared to the true 8 phase digital PWM on the UP5.

Both are still excellent boards as they use the same top-of-the-line components in their VRMs.

If you're going with socket 2011 I'd recommend the X79-UP4, as the X79 UP5 uses a different chipset that I hear is a little buggy for OCing.

With a 690 $2200+
With 2 7970 GHZ editions just under $2000
Not including a case!

I`ve made changes.
http://pcpartpicker.com/p/AqVL

Gpu:

cpu cooler:
Corsair H100i,you can remove it if you want, it is very god, and much easier to install than those huge tower coolers.

MB:
Asus SABERTOOTH z77, more than enough.

Gpu:
2x Msi 680 lightning
they are overkill over one 690, they oc like mad.

SSD: OCZ Vector 128gb
HDD: WD Caviar Black 1TB

Much batter than velocity and corsair ssd.

PSU: SeaSonic X Series 1050W

Best psu makers, one of best psu out there.

If your looking for the autoclocking stuff i think only the msi, asus, and even maybe gigabyte will do it....someone please correct me if im wrong on that.

autoclocking is pretty terrible, esp when your running 4.3ghz at 1.4V

No need for 3770k OP, 3570k is gaming champion

Samsung low profile 1600 > vengeance 2133, its half the price and at CL11 will get 2133 easily

Crucial m4 or samsung 840 > corsair ssd

Velociraptor is a nice HD, but for a game HD, personally id get a black cavier or barracuda, 1/2TB for same price. 10k rpm only going to make loading games marginally faster, wont affect ingame performance

2x670 or 2x7970 > 690??? even 2x680 not worth it, personally if the 670 ftw had come out with the gtx 680, would of gotten that instead.

1000W PSU? 850 would be fine, even more than needed still. possibly corsair AX850, great PSU

and for windows id grab the OEM version, save about 40 bucks

and dont forget keyboard, mouse, monitors in your budget

your build is kinda going all over the chart, have you done any researching into reviews, threads?

Ocz Vector is maybe the best 128gb ssd.
It has stability and reliability of m4, and is faster. C M4 are great on capacities of 256gb and higher.
