Korean 27" ips monitors - Page 2

They don't make my favorite Korean monitor anymore (the Shimian IPSB's in my sig). I love them for the edge-to-edge tempered glass that eliminates the bezels. They just look killer in person IMO. Unfortunately Achieva switched over to the IPSI that uses tempered glass but between the bezels instead of over them. Doesn't look nearly as good but is still a great monitor.

I bought a QNIX for $299 about 3 months or so ago (at least) and it works great. I haven't had any dead pixels. I wouldn't pay for the perfect pixel deal, but if you look on the different ebay adds, some say they won't have more then 5 dead pixels all the way up to not having any more then 20 dead pixels. That is a pretty big gap. That is why I bought the QNIX and I have loved it since I plugged it in.

Mostly depends on the seller in my opinion.

This is what I'm talking about with the edge-to-edge tempered glass:

Uhmmm.... how does that eliminate the bezels? Still looks like there are bezels there to me.

Micro Center is carrying them and they are available to ship if you don't live by one.

The nice thing about buying one from Micro Center is that they have a 15-day return period on them so if you get one with bad pixels you can just bring it back in. I had a friend get one in store and they let him view it before he even took it home which was awesome!

It's the "AURIA EQ276W 27" IPS LED Monitor" listed HERE.

I was very impressed with the AURIA IPS panel that he got, especially for only $400 when the name brand monitors with this resolution go for at least $250 more. The stand is decent but if you're picky like me, you'll probably want a quality stand with height adjustment and more tilt/swivel etc options.

I would definitely take one from Micro Center over Ebay if it's an option for you, I've never had issues with Ebay but it will likely be more of a hassle dealing with Ebay or Ebay sellers than it would be to deal with Micro Center in case of any problems thumb.gif

Lol, I mean there is one smooth surface edge-to-edge rather than a bezel surrounding a recessed screen like with most monitors.
