New Sager NP9130 Notebook. - Page 4

I’m coming from the hell, the Asus ‘hell’ and that’s why instead of a blood I have thermal compound in my veins biggrin.gif.

It’s supposed to be a secret where the diamonds are wink.gif. It seems that the price is going up; last time it was $19.99 + free shipping for "24 Carat".

The Shin Etsu X23-7783D own the best thermal conductivity and according to its specifications should be better than ICD. I heard very good words about Shin Etsu, unfortunately I have no practical experience with this manufacture.

In the last 6 years I’m using everywhere ICD and there is no problem at long run with the pump-out effect or its structure stability. Before ICD I’ve used Noctua NT-H1 mad.gif and it was a big disappointment.

@skumdog

If I were in your shoes I’ll try to exchange the current system for Clevo P570WM (available from the end of 2012 / AVAdirect ). It’s the first Clevo with X79 and it supports Xeon 26xx plus ECC memory up to 64 GB in quad channel.

Maybe XoticPC already have this baby. Be aware that some of the “95% Gamut Matte Display” have the ability to bleed (back light) nicely in the dark biggrin.gif.

Well the laptop I have Is perfect for me, it is a sexy laptop and it runs, err... Kinda good. I mean if I turn on the fans it plays everything I throw at it. Crysis at ultra and it runs beautifully, Borderlands 2 at all high settings runs wonderfully, if i turn the fans on high. I just feel like I shouldn't have to do that. As far as XoticPC quality control, they never even seen the laptop. It went from Sager to me. So Sager should have done a test and QA. But I guess they didn't. On XoticPC's website it said that Sager was doing a burn in but i garuntee that never happened or it would have exposed the faults of the system.

How do you speed up your fans? I could really use this for benchmarking!

You are absolutely right. Your system must perform stable at any loads without the need of manual fans control.

The problem is probably into the heatsink or with the way how it’s attached to the CPU.

That's why I prefer a seller who will check the laptop before shipping, of course the price is higher.

For me Clevo is the best laptop.

You can read the user manual too.

OK I just got off the phone with Sager, and they said they will not issue an RMA for the system shutting off. If it runs good with the fans on high then it is operating within its parameters.I think that is bull**** because no one else is having that issue. Or are they? I am gonna post this issue somewhere else to find out if this is an issue or not.

P.S. I think it is.

@skumdog

It can’t be serious! Try to speak with a manager. From what you described that is definitely a problem. It’s difficult to believe that Sager is capable to give you such an answer.

What about XoticPC, are they going to help you?
post #40 of 45
Again, if you bought it from XoticPC, then you shouldn't even be TRYING to talk to Sager. They aren't the best with Customer Serivce, XoticPC is. Go through the reseller you bought it from. wink.gif
