Gaming MMORPG & FPS 2x23" or 1x27" 1x23?

For gaming, would two 23" monitors be ideal, where one display is game, one is browser and such. Or would a 27" and then a 23" work out better? I was concerned about resolution, but also if 27" is too big for gaming in say...1080?

Depends on the game, and how you play it. WoW/D3, i'd go with 2, BF3 with VOIP id do 2. BF3/ SC2/ LoL with no VOIP i'd go 27"

I like to see who im talking to on VOIP, and i like to see spec sheets etc on the side while playing those games.

This is just past experiences.

I believe MMOs are quite nice on 27" 1440p. However, I have a 27" 1080p and I don't have any complaints on quality. I play lots of FPS and few MMOs, monitor is great looking.

Would you recommend pairing a 23" with the 27" for gaming?

You could go with a 20 on the side of a 27" All you'd use it for would be VOIP and maybe youtube for fights/specs etc.

Definitely not for gaming, but on the side for VOIP and useful programs to your games, yes.

Also it's quite practical to have two monitors when you want to actually be productive on a PC.

I dislike having screen lines not line up. This would probably mean I would not like 1 huge 27 and one smaller 23"

I was thinking about getting two 24" instead, like a happy medium. The argument is that two 27" is even BETTER though. biggrin.gif

I was wondering how gaming would be on a 24 compared to 27 when at 1080 resolution? Right now 1080 on a 23" feels too small, icons and text.
The Icons and text are bigger on a 27" 1080p than a 24" 1080p.

Im using only 1 27inch for gaming and a 32 inch/21 inch for other stuff.

What seems to be better, buying high quality smaller monitors, 23 or 24 inch, or spending less to get two 27" ?
