+Rep, that did it for me! Went from 30fps with vsync on to 50fps vsync off looking at the same point.

Edit: Only fixed single card, not crossfire.

I am getting terrible, 45-55fps on average on both maps, 4.5ghz 2600k, 1080p, 2xMSAA, very high settings, and high textures. I even tried a single card, and was only hitting 30fps max. Some people are getting 55fps avg with a single OC'd 7970 or 680.
Force triple buffer if you use vsync. Might help with frame reduction as you are below your refresh rate.

I have exact same problem with Sapphire 7970 Dual-x 3GB/Win 7 64bit. I installed catalyst beta 13.2 and the problems started. Games starts fine, after few seconds screen goes black and sound stutters. Only hard reset helps. I have to go all the way back 12.10 to make games work but still if I start CCC.exe(yes, I did complete driver clean out) I instantly get about million errors in windows event viewer. The message says something error about CCC.exe

Could it be that my card is broken? Yes, it possible, but it is odd thing that this black screen issue&sound stutters problem starts in right that moment when I installed catalyst 13.2 beta. Never before I had no problems about stability or anything else...

I've noticed some drivers are more sensitive to overclocking than others, causing crashes. It also depends on the games being played and their settings.

As nice as it sounds, I doubt any one driver will ever work for every system and the near-infinite settings possible.

The uninstall utility doesn't remove CAP, you need to uninstall it from the control panel in Windows.

Hi, sorry for the quotes, but would like to ask ppl if using driversweeper on safe mode would do the same (or better)? Thanks.

Didn't you ever notice the driver installer has an option to uninstall? Whatcha think it's good for? That's all you need to do.

What? You asked if ppl should use drivercrapper in safemode. I just told you you never need to use it. How is it that yall run the installer and never notice the built in uninstaller?

And for the record you always uninstall the CAPs manually because you installed them separately to begin with. They go into a completely different part of the drive. They are not part of the driver package unless you used a modded driver that has CAPs embedded.

Ok ladies settle down now. AMD has an official driver un-installation utility to get ready for a new set so just use that and be happy.

Here it is.
