Guess you didn't read the reviews I had posted whistle.gif
If you feeling Red, go for it thumb.gif That's the 7950 Boost you want smile.gif
I did read the reviews you posted! It's just I've seen a lot of more reviews showing that the 7950 just outperforms the 660 Ti in a bunch of different games, especially when OCed. Don't get me wrong, I think the 660 Ti is a fantastic card. I'm just pulled more to the 7950 and feel like it will do everything I want. Who knows, maybe I won't like it and get that 660 Ti instead. But for right now, I'm going to take my chances with the 7950. I really appreciate your input though and will definitely keep an eye on that 660 Ti in the future smile.gif

whoever is saying the GTX 660 Ti can keep up with a HD 7950 boost is not telling the truth. at stock the HD 7950 boost is a GTX 670 competitor. overclocked the HD 7950 (1150 mhz) can match or exceed GTX 680(1200 Mhz) / GTX 670(1250 Mhz) in majority of games.

http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/HIS/HD_7950_X2_Boost/31.html

BF3 1920 x 1200 4x AA

GTX 660 Ti - 58.5
HIS HD 7950 iceq x2 boost - 67.5
GTX 670 - 67.5
HD 7970 Ghz (1050 mhz) - 78.9
HIS HD 7950 iceq x2 boost (1210 mhz) - 82.9

a HD 7950 is 3 - 6% slower than HD 7970 at the same clocks. the HD 7950 at 1100 - 1150 mhz will match HD 7970 Ghz..

And it will do what you need wink.gif Enjoy that 7950 Boost wheee.gif Once you get that 7950 Boost, there's no need to keep your eye on the 660Ti 3Gb, you'll be eye-balling the next gpu to supercede that 7950 Boost wink.gif

FYI...Just to make the air clear...I did not say that & I'm not saying that. I'm fully aware that the 7950 Boost is faster in raw performance. The GTX 660tI 3Gb (not the 2Gb version) is a more competitive gpu against a stock 670 & beats a non-Boost 7950 with plenty of OC headroom to go beyond the 670 (notice I did not say the 7950 Boost tongue.gif )
applaud.gif to the 7950 Boost when OCed...It's a killer price/performance gpu smile.gif

the 3GB on the GTX 660 Ti does not improve performance when compared to 2GB versions. the extra VRAM helps you to play games like skyrim with mods which easily exceed 2GB VRAM without any stuttering. On the 2 GB cards once you run out of VRAM you will have inconsistent fps.

You need a very high overclock on the GTX 660 Ti to come close to GTX 670 / HD 7950 boost. and these cards when overclocked will leave the GTX 660 Ti OC far behind.

the GTX 660 Ti is not in the same perf class as the GTX 670 and HD 7950 boost. a GTX 660 Ti even at 1.3 Ghz will struggle to match a stock GTX 680. HD 7950 at 1050 mhz willl easily do that.
