I cant seem to find any review for the 850 model. However johnnyguru mentioned that the 750w model was an excellent choice while the 1200w model was horrible considering its price tag, I would think it to be a bit of a gamble until we can find someone with an objective view on the matter

So I wouldnt be able to say for certain, do you plan on expanding to a larger build? 750 would do you justice considering you could run the power hungry 480's on 750w I would think the 560ti would be just fine with room to overclock

For psu's I personally like to look at the professional reviews only because I like to see what the performance is for each rail 3.3, 12, 5v etc

However if your confident in the 5 star customer rating then it couldnt be all that bad, it was jsut the 1200w unit that didnt excel where it needed to.

is there is a reason why you need 850w?

750w is more than plenty for your needs, but I definitely understand your reasoning, you may someday SLI more powerful cards and dont want to have to replace the PSU. Thats what I did with the AX1200 lol but at the time I was running 4 470s

That unit should be fine, but I personally would feel more comfortable if I was able to find a professional review

No, the PSU should only draw what it needs to power the system. The rating that it gets (550,650,750etc) is the usually the max output that it can run, and most quality units are rate for continuous output. there is a difference so you definitely have to look for that if thats what you need.

If your going to go big, I would stay away from cooler master, unless there tech has changed in the past year or so, they werent the greatest PSUs for the money. Corsair or Antec do well higher output units like that as well as a few others I cant seem to remember, those are just the popular units I think of at the top of my head.

School is closing down so sorry I cant give a more constructive answer, I will be back in about 30 minutes or so though

Ok So let me make sure I am on the same boat as you. If I am doing like TRI SLI or TRI CROSSFIRE then i would need like a 1200w right?

Due to the advancements of power consumptions on the latest GPUs (since thats usually the main cause for concern), yes.

If you get the 850w unit you should have plenty of room to spare, and plenty of options for the future as well.
