Good friend of mine is ultra low on cash. He said if I gave him my Razr maxx and the cost of a new phone he would let me keep it.
I have my eyes on the Razr Maxx HD. is it worth the upgrade from the Maxx?

Yes and no, essentially its not that much better than the maxx, however your not signing up for another 2 year contract, so you can still upgrade later on down the road if something new and better came along that you liked.

Id say it is. The HD has a better and higher clocked CPU as well as better screen. I almost bought one this past week when upgrading from my T-bolt but went with the Note 2 instead based on its supreme hardware. If you liked the OG Razr and all then you might as well stick with it. The only other phones out there comparable are the Galaxy S3 which is almost a year old and the new HTC DNA but I turned it down because of its 16GB puny storage, no SD card and a non-removable smallish battery.

The Maxx HD's are $250 with contract at Verizon right now but theyre $200 at Best Buy at least in my area. Worth checking out to save you $50 more.

sorry man but Amazon Wireless is the place to go for Phones. MUCH cheaper than verizon and bestbuy. http://wireless.amazon.com/Samsung-Android-Titanium-Verizon-Wireless/dp/B00AB7FVCY/ref=sh_br_ph_2?ie=UTF8&transaction=INDIVIDUAL_NEW&sr=2-2-entd&qid=1359838900684

They have the Razr Maxx HD for $150 and the note 2 for 150 as well.

the DNA is the best Android phone right now (well I consider it tied with the Note 2) but the tiny storage space, no SD card and a kinda small battery that youre stuck with forever are deal breakers for me. The Maxx HD has a permanent battery too but its a 3300 mha battery and it has a SD card slot. Its not dated either. It came out in November, the same time as the DNA. It has an updated processor and screen over the last gen Maxx. Cant go wrong with either one really but I gotta have big storage and a big battery cause I work a LOT and am not home a lot and do everything off my phone.

I know Amazon is the place to go for the best prices on phones but phones are the one thing I still gotta do B&M. I like seeing the phone Im gonna get before hand and walking out with it working and being able to go back there the very next day if needs be to take care of an issue. Like I said, my cell phone is crucial to me so I take no chances with it. wink.gif

The DNA is now $99 on Amazon, and compared to the Razr Maxx, its a much better deal. There are a few downsides to the DNA, but if your looking for an upgrade, the DNA is going to offer the best bang for your buck on Verizon.
