Fluttering cathode?

Thread Starter
hey all, i just Bought 2 more cold cathodes for my case.
but one is fluttering, not blacking off or anything just fluttering u can acutally see it move in the tube. about 8-10 cm away from it there is a fan. do you think that possibly the fan could be causing interfearance with the tube? can it cause damge to the tube?
i would take it off and see but the connector is in a very hard to reach spot and its hard to get the plug out.

thanks

The fan probably isn't causing any interference. Maybe you have a bad cathode or maybe you have it on sound re-active? Check the wiring and make sure everything is plugged in.

My cathodes flicker when they're close to the PSU or PSU wires, went away after a couple of weeks though.

No Sorry to say that its most likely a bad Cathode. Ive had rather a few. I would also remove it from your system as some ive had have fully shorted out and could have potentially caused a fire.

hmm dam its one of those dual kits, so its nothing to do with the inverter or sound settings due to the other one being fine.
thats a bif of a bummer that its bad, it looks crap, the inside of my case is flashing lol
