LOL.

So how did they get the Haswell chip to run? Its the wrong socket and its the wrong chipset.
And its a engineering sample. Who knows if these guys got hands on a ancient revision that was tossed in the garbage a long time ago due to not working properly?

You do realize that to validate and debug boards, that you need the boards first, right?

People are testing engineering sample CPUs on engineering sample LGA-1150 boards.

This close to release, chances are that they are very reflective of final performance. Overclocking probably isn't really testable yet, but it's not remotely far fetched that stock performance and relative IPC are well known and will probably be representative of release parts.

How do you know that they got this engineering sample From Intel and not some source in China that obtained this a long time ago?
I didn`t know LGA-1150 was available now....

Guess power consumption and integrated graphics really were the main focus on Haswell.

Because the production of haswell started a few weeks ago and it wouldn't be a stretch to assume that these results are from a near final engineering sample.

Production of the final revision ie the one we get to buy started weeks ago. Engineering samples was made many months ago, maybe even a year wink.gif
