need help choosing a cpu!!

i was thinking about getting this kit ( http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=7640299&CatId=332 ) but then i started reading about bulldozer cpus and i cant seem to find out if it will be good for gaming or not, the game im aiming towards is Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn, would this CPU do ok? the only part im worried about is the CPU

I also found this ( http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=7567001&csid=_61 ) people were saying that the phenom II's are better than bulldozer but im not sure about this one because its am3 and not am3+, i have a Phenom II 9550 x4 now and i love it

another reason im going with amd and not intel is i plan on overclocking and it seems that amd overclocks better than intel. If you guys maybe know of an even better kit, a link would be awesome!

btw i love the site! lots of info and help!

What i would do In comparison to this "kit" as the "kit" is bad for gaming. (the GPU IS weak as hell)

Pick up an FX 6300 (newer and better than the CPU you posted)

Pick up a Decent AM3+ board (990x chipset= Upgrade to steamroller later)

Get an HD 7770 (the graphics card you linked is weak, and wont play FFXIV , i can tell you that right now as i play it also.)

As for ram, samsung Magic memory is the best around at the moment.

If you give us a budget, Overclocker members can work more efficiently to your needs, lol.

Also, location is a big help thumb.gif

i dont plan on useing that gpu, i was gonna put it in my current pc and use my gtx550 (maybe buy another an SLI them),

in the near future i planned on getting 16 gigs of http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=40739&CatId=4534

i guess i should have further explained my plans lol

i read somewhere that with FX processors, games will only use 1 of their cores, is that true?
it doesnt make sense to me why that would happen

and also im kindof budget limited atm, my budgets about $500

If I understand you are really only looking for the board and processor from the bundle?

If that is the case then:

http://secure.newegg.com/Shopping/ShoppingCart.aspx?Submit=view

$489 with 20 rebate.

8350, Sabertooth and GTX550ti. Unfortunately you get a free copy of DNF.

That assumes your PSU can handle the SLI and an OC.

besides the 8 cores, whats so good about the 8350 btw?
You're welcome.

The 8350 is the only one I have direct experience with. Reviews and posts on OCN suggest that the 6300/8320 are good alternatives. Although the 6300/8320 may not OC as well as the 8350.

The 8350 is also only $20 more than the 8320, which is why I selected it.

Well it's the only Vishera CPU with a stock speed that hits 4.0 ghz. So that's something.
