I thought about getting a prodigy long and hard. Almost got one but the only thing that I really didn't like about it is the materials it is made of. Just too much plastic and cheap metal. I got my case for just a little more money than the cost of a Prodigy and it has alot of aluminum in it. The other thing that I wanted over the Prodigy was more breathing room and space for my water loop.

My build really isn't going to be fancy with lots of custom fabrication but I want it to be functional and I hope to be able to over clock a 3570kto cose to 5GHZ with it and push a HD7950 to close to 1300mhz. biggrin.gif

5 Ghz for a 3570K is a gamble.

Yeah. I hope the Asus mother board is up for the challenge. I have a 5GHZ 3570k ready to go but I am not certain how it will behave in the Asus mini itx mother board.

Update on my build.

I got the dremel out and cut out the bottom of the hdd bay to make way for the radiator.

told you it wouldnt fit tongue.gif

I still stick to what i said before. take the fans off the outside of the case and have just push. The fin density of the thick alphacool rads is so low you dont need push pull... plus it keeps everything internal... and i think it would look a lot better... just my thought biggrin.gif

It fits fine. biggrin.gif

Plan B is the creative OC v.5.0 route. More work and will not be as kosher looking as your traditional Lian Li case but will work well for air flow to the radiator.

Bump for an update in the parts lists.
Had some problems with a part but back on track now.

Will be testing new XSPC RAZER HD7970 "New Edition" soon. If you want to read up on my test I am comparing it to my HEatkiller block that is on my HD7950 950mhz Edition.

My tests here: http://www.overclock.net/t/1366829/nickel-plated-heatkiller-gpu-x-79x0-vs-xspc-razor-hd-7970-full-coverage-vga-block-new-design

Looks fine and I'm sure those fans breathe easier than having case cover over them.

I'm normally not so concerned about preserving the appearance of the case but I'm going to have this rig in my family room connected to a TV so i want it to look a little decent because if it looks to gnarly my wife will not be happy with it. biggrin.gif
