How are you measuring CPU temp if you are not using the core temps?

on aida 64... the cpu temp presented is directly related to the cores temp so if the cpu temp is fine the cores will as well

i only have mine for 2 years and it was been on stock till now... i dont see any point on upgrading now cause for gamming there is no big difference between a 950 and more recent tech... i will probably wait one or two more years before upgrade

Like he said the 950 is almost 3 generations outdated therefore i would OC the crap out of it for like maybe a another year then upgrade to the new 1150 socket. Check this man the 950's liek most of intel's chips are TANKS...I had my 950 at 4.4ghz for nearly 2 years before i sat it on the shelf to collect dust...i think voltage was 1.45-1.48...gaming wise temps never went above 85c so again that was for 2 years enjoy.
