Question about using extra PCIe cables

I am working on cleaning up my system. And I am removing any unneeded 4 pin molex connectors and replacing anything that only needs 12v -and+ with mini tamiya connectors. Much smaller and way less of a pain to connect and disconnect. I am also making custom length modular cables for my Corsair HX 850 for my 2 6970s. But now I am going to have these 2 extra permanent 6+2 pin pcie cables I am just going to have tied up in the back with no use. I would like to use those cables to power my mini tamiya connectors to power my auxiliary devices. Which would make nice 1:1 wires for heatshrinkless sleeving if I put three connectors on each, because from this source each connector has 3x 12v+ lines and 5x ground lines. But I dont know if the PSU's PCIe lines were designed for this use, and if there would be any ill effects.

What I am thinking about doing is using some old extensions I have, and taking the plug that connects to my existing pcie 6+2 pin connector and running wires to three mini tamiya connectors.

My main goal is to clean up my build, without voiding the warranty on my PSU. The only modding I am doing to it is to the modular cables. Which when I RMAd my last PSU they told me to keep my cables because the replacement wouldnt have any.

TLDR, can I use the 12v lines from my PCIe plugs to power different devices that wont draw an even or consistent load??

Yes, you can split and convert them them into different connectors.
