vcore loadline callibration vs cpu vtt loadline calibration

Thread Starter
hello i have a gigabyte GA-Z77X-D3H and currently have vcore loadline callibration set on turbo and cpu vtt loadline calibration set on auto, i don't understand the difference between the 2, should i have cpu vtt loadline calibration set on turbo as well?

the vtt llc is for controlling voltage drop under load to the vtt voltages which supply power to pci-e lanes and memory controller and things like that

Right so i don't need to change vtt? I can leave that on auto? Also i found that changing vcore llc from turbo to high lowers my temp under load? Is that normal?

lower llc will compensate less for vdroop, so yea, could give lower temps under load,
for example, you need 1.3V vcore to be stable,
with llc on turbo, you get to 1.295V,
with llc on high, you get to 1.285V
lower vcore= lower temps

seems like i can get away with dropping my llc to high rather than turbo which in turn seems to drop my temps a little, i did 20 passes on very high with intel burn test and max temp on a core was 80C this is down from 88C before so much happier with this (i also dropped vcore from 1.2 to 1.19)

if it works, and you dont run into instability using lt..why not smile.gif
i did some testing with llc on Turbo and Extreme, with Extreme i could lower my offset about 0.020V,
but they say dont use Extreme, but worked for me anyways ..lol
but i dont have to watch temps so ..you seem to have a nice tempdrop doing so ..nice smile.gif

temps stayed about the same tho
