EVGA GTX 670 FTW 2GB No Display

Hi

First time user so sorry if this is logged wrong!

I have purchased an EVGA GTX 670 FTW 2GB; I have installed the latest drivers from the Nvidia site. I then played Skyrim for half an hour (looks great!) and then rebooted to find that there is just a black screen and my monitor goes to sleep.

I re-seated the card and checked all connections and they seem sound. It can't be the PSU as its only a month old (Corsair C600). I have an MSI Z77A-G43 Mobo. I tried the integrated GPU and that also had no display.

Here is the odd thing though.. if I discharge the mobo of power and power on the PC I have a display from the GTX 670...

Is your CPU overclocked? If yes, run it at stock. Once you get your display working, you can overclock again.

Also, you might want to check your BIOS settings. Make sure it's configured correctly to initiate your video card first.

One other thing you could do is make sure every cable is connected properly. If needed, remove them and re-connect.

Hello!

Managed to boot Windows and get into ClickBIOSII...

Reset settings to default and rebooted - cleared the overclock, flashed the BIOS (just to make sure) and hey presto I have a usable PC!

Many thanks for the help! biggrin.gif
