Sapphire HD7950 Boost or Sapphire HD7950 Vapor-X?

Hello smile.gif,

So I decided to go for the Sapphire brand but now I would like to ask if there are some cool features on the Vapor-X?
I did read about the Vapor-X that it has LED on the card and way better cooling + able to overclock about 110mhz more then the Boost version.

Are there any other cool things the Vapor-X can do that the Boost can't?
The Vapor-X will cost me about 300 euros where as the Boost only 279 euros. But if it is way way better then I am thinking about the Vapor-X biggrin.gif

I really would like to hear opinions! I still have some time before I order it but it might be very soon.

(Dutch websites. But it will show which card I mean exactly)

the sapphire HD 7950 vapor-x comes in two versions - one with dual 8 pin power and one with 8+ 6 pin power. the dual 8 pin has very positive feedback. the 8 + 6 pin power has reports of vrm overheating. there looks to be some changes in the power circuitry which allows the dual 8 pin to run cooler. ask in this thread also if it the both the vapor-x cards have unlocked voltage

if you can't find out for sure if its the dual 8 pin vapor-x which you are buying then the sapphire hd 7950 boost with dual x is the better option

The Vapor-X that I have at the website has number:

11196-09-40G

Can't find much to whether that card has 2x 8 pin. Can someone look it up for me?

A dutch website called Alternate from which I ordered like 80% of the parts for my PC says 2x 6pin connection.

http://www.alternate.nl/html/product/SAPPHIRE/HD_7950_Vapor-X_OC_(11196-09-40G)/1028437/?tk=7&lk=4031

Edit:

Found it. It's 2x 8 pin smile.gif
