[techpowerup] First NVIDIA GeForce Titan 780 Performance Numbers Revealed - Page 35

Kinda funny how OBR Hardware doesn't even have the info put up anymore. So it's either fake, or close enough to make NVIDA send a not so friendly email/phone call.

Its funny that people get all sorts of upset about the increasing prices. I mean damn - its the consumer that determines the price of a product.. and if you don't like the price of a product, THEN DON'T FREAKING BUY IT. However, the fact that these higher priced cards (titan, 680, ect..) are still selling very well (and will sell well) puts these complainers in the very small minority which means that they are most likely just upset that they can't afford it.

It's pretty much jealousy and envy, with self-justification to lash out at people who are able to get them. Why? Who knows, it's not like it affects their rig, but they do it nonetheless. Such a vocal minority of whiners.

Hince the term "haters gonna hate." Just like the guy last night who claimed to know how I became finacially blessed. They will use whatever means necessary to justify why they aren't as well off as you. And more or less complain in every thread about how over-priced things are simply because its out of their price range. I should have never went off like I did but like you said I was trying to back up that I also have other jobs that I pay to have done other then my PC. People act like its a crime to pay for services to be done. If I have the funds to do so then who cares. Its my choice and my money. I'm far from some spoiled kid who came from a big money backround. I grew up in a small town in missouri and went to UW and started my own business and worked my way all the way to where I'm at today. And since you brought this back to light I have to say something to the guy calling me out on the other services I have done. When you actually start buying high-end tv's they go far beyond simple contrast/sharpness etc. adjustments. The tv's have built in software that allow them to be hooked up to a computer and be professionally calibrated. Everything from the room size to the amount of light in the room play a factor into how this is performed. These types of Tv's are not found at best buy sorry. Lastly my hot tub uses what they call a salt water system. Although once in check its rather easy to maintain it still needs to be tested weekly to assure the system is working properly. It was a very expensive spa so I don't mind spending the money to have someone who does it for a living come out once a week to make adjustments to the spa. To anyone thinking I was bragging I was simply not doing so. I was just using other examples of services that I pay for since so many have called me out for having my pc built. To me it is no different then any other service you pay for. If you disagree then thats your right and opinion. But please give it a rest on calling me out on every thread because of it. I'm done talking about it.

I'm beginning to lean more towards this whole thing might be bogus. How many slides have we seen that turned out to be fake. Just sites trying to get web hits. For all we know it could be November before Titan hits. Until Nvidia comes out its all speculation and rumors.

Here's some food for thought....

The 18th has been floating around as the release date. Most have said the 18th of Feb. Consider this....

The GPU Technology Conference starts March 18th and NVIDIA will be there. What better time or place to release the Titan than at a conference about GPU tech?

Though it makes sense I believe it would be a mistake. There are a ton of gamers who are ready to buy gpu's now and even more so because of the announcement that AMD isn't releasing the 8000 series any time soon. People are itching for this thing now. There will be a ton of impulse buys because the hype is out of control on this thing all across PC forums. Waiting an entire month gives plenty of time for all the hype to settle and make those who would have bought out of impulse start to think about purchasing this product. As a company that sells entertainment products you always want people to buy when the hype is peaked. Just like a car salesman want's you to by the first day you come in to look at a car. Your excitement of getting something new and getting rid of the old is at its peak at that exact time. 90% of those who don't buy that first time never return. They went home and thought it out ultimately leading to not buying the car. Nvidia needs to "release the Titan" now while its hype is at its peak.

Info from TPU and Donanimhaber is correct. Launch date is correct too. I seen Three Titans today (it looks better then GTX 690, too sexy boards), few Magazines has cards for review.

Performance is few percents under GTX 690, numbers from OBR are correct.
Meaning GTX 690 clocks on the Titan.

If the price is high there is only 1 reason. they dont have enough to sell. There are those that will buy the performance no matter the price.
