Probably could play the latest game in 3D surround 4K resolution. drool.gif

This. I have had 2 sli setups and one of my close friends has had 3. The only sli issue either of us ran into was my 560ti sli causing glitchy ai in one level of metro and nothing else. So I fail to see where these people speaking as if sli problems are daily occurrences are coming from. For a combined total of 6 years worth of sli usage to have one small glitch, doesn't seem that bad... [/rant]

I am building a brand new rig next month, and Titans in SLI has really gotten me thinking. My only concern is what it will do to my planned build around a 3770k processor and a maximus formula v 1155 socket motherboard. I am assuming I will be cpu limited and need to bump up to a 3930k, and a 2011 maximus motherboard. Can I get away with the 3770k set up? That would make it much more affordable to do a Titan SLI setup. Also, what is a safe bet for how many watts I would need in a PSU for SLI titans? Thanks.

How long will it take to make a water block for Titan? Days? Months?

I'd bump to the 3930k for the extra PCI-E lanes, which puts you at 130w for the cpu and id guess 250w per titan so thats about 630W plus drives id look at 850w+

Hmmmm. I have a single 2560x1440p 120Hz monitor. I wonder if one Titan would be able to push ultra settings (only 2-4xMSAA because of the enhanced resolution) at 120fps in any existing or soon to drop games. Or do people think I'd need 2 titans to accomplish that...

Maybe not Quite 120fps but maybe more than 80-90

Thats where I am at right now. Do I stick with one Titan and give up the performance, but save a bunch of money. Two titans means an extra $1,000 for the card, $275 more for a 3930k, an extra $225 on the mobo, and figure another $75 on a powersupply. Now that is getting to be alot of money.
