Sin, would a cpu die with static? and could a graphics card have held static then release it into the motherboard? i have a second desktop sporting a pentium d 820, but it's my dads and he wont let me take it apart+for some reason the slots go upwards in this so the gpu would be going 2 slots upward instead of down lolso it wouldn't fit unless i booted with the cpu heatsink off
also, tell me if i have anything left to try and troubleshoot if can
1 CPU,1 RAM STICK, MOBO plugged in with 24pin and 8pin - doesnt turn on + different ramsticks and slot didnt help
mobo with just 24pin and 8 pin, nothing
just 24 pin nothing, 8pin nothing
took battery out for 10minutes, tried the cmos jumper in other position for 10minutes, and nothing.
Jumped my PSU with a paperclip, psu runs and led fans turn on.
also always had a cpu fan plugged in on the mobo just because some wont turn on without one i heard, also tried it with it off too.Edited by renji1337 - 1/31/13 at 7:46pm
