No those aren't good temps, 1.296v isn't a lot of voltage either so I'm guessing you don't have very good cooling.

What kind of heatsink do you have?

I have a 960 at 3.6, though I have to push 1.3v on it to make it work. My temps (with water cooling) under a load range from 55-75C depending on my room temperature (the air conditioning here sucks). Generally, anything over 65C is "bad". Might shorten the remaining life on your LGA1366 chip.

I'm not really familiar with that... Do you have a link? Honestly, my best guess is that the heatsink was simply applied poorly from the factory. Maybe too much thermal compound, maybe not enough, maybe an uneven spread or an air pocket.

When is the last time you performed some basic maintenance on it? Probably why it's performing so badly. Probably caked with dust.

I think dell calls it Asetek liquid cooling.

Also very possible. I've cleaned out my dust filters and seen my temps go down 5C.

Asetek is like the equivalent of a Corsair H50 or so, which isn't all that great, but not that bad either. You shouldn't be hitting 90c.

get yourelf a simple cpu water cooling system - Corsair H70- then start oc'ing.......
