Samsung wonder ram!!!!
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820147096
It is out of stick at newegg but amazon has it.

This ram is simply amazing

I have had first hand experience with it also.

The ONLY reason i don't still have it is i wanted a waterblock on my ram for asthetic reasons.

And soon i will own it again and ruin my doms for there heatsinks.

Will 1866 work on that mobo though? I still wasn't clear on what the OC in parenthesis meant.

1866 will work fine - the parenthesis simply means that the default IMC is limited to DDR3-1600 for Ivy, so any speed above that is "overclocked".

Those G.SKill Snipers are a steal and they have decent timings, and G.Skills are super solid these days.

I just bought ram and did a bunch of googling. Basically, don't buy over 1866 unless you don't have a budget or you love overclocking memory. The performance increase from speed is lessened with looser timings and the cost goes through the roof beyond 1866. However 1866 is worth it over 1600 since it's usually a difference of ~$10.

Almost all current IVB motherboards have Intel's X.M.P profile settings. Which means you tell your your mobo to use XMP and your memory automatically sets itself to it's correct OC frequency and timings. Easy as pie.

No problem, just set XMP in BIOS and the memory will run at 1866.

The Samsung 1.35v "WundeRAM" is awesome stuff, but I honestly prefer my G.Skill Ripjaws-Z kit. I run X79, so I have a 4x4GB kit, but you can get them in 2x4GB kits as well. It's something like ~$59 for 2x4GB DDR3-2400 10-12-12-31, not at all a bad price! They are the same IC's as used in the Trident X 2400 kits, just cheaper!

I'm glad you mentioned the Ripjaw Zs because I actually just ordered it. Did some digging on benchmarks for it and they benchmark very well. Thanks for all the input, folks.
