I made no reference to your post. rolleyes.gif

But as you brought it up.

There is no accuracy in a recommendation.. There can be accuracy in the data used to make a recommendation. A recommendation is the opinion of person or group making it. biggrin.gif

Recommendations are usually made based on data.. more data than what case is being used that one fan has an led, and 3 more are 120mm and run 950rpm. rolleyes.gif

Data like what brand/model the fans are, what GPU is being used (reference models vent out back, others vent in case), what CPU and cooler is being used (some vent down onto mobo, some vent front to back, some vent both ways at same time).

I have a side intake fan, two exhaust fans, a fan to cool the motherboard, and an intake fan. I put the motherboard fan in my expansion drive bay angled at 65 degrees relative to the motherboard as this gives the best coanda effect(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coanda_effect) and cools just about all the mobo components that aren't cooled by my side intake.

As long as you have one more intakes than exhausts, to create positive pressure. It makes it so as you have more air coming in than going out from the fans, all the "extra" air is pushing out from little holes of you case, this prevents dust coming in from those holes smile.gif

Only helps if the intakes are filtered and it appears the side isn't.

yeah, I'd just toss one at the bottom and then see if a side intake does much for ya. Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't. Top exhaust may not be so necessary, but with any setup you just gotta try everything and see how it does.
