What made you switch to PC Gaming - Page 13

Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory. Free to download and free to play, which was(and becoming less so) rare if not impossibly to find when I started online gaming. Also, I would NEVER pay my ISP AND my "console" manufacturer to play online... so ridiculous.

I started on a PC. Well kind of, commodore 64. I then played consoles and PC together until around 2001 or so after the NES came out. I stopped PC gaming because I had other things I wanted to spend money on and console gaming was alot cheaper. I got into racing games pretty heavy during my console time and a few years ago I started reading about iracing and had to give it a try.

So for me it was Iracing and really that is the only game I have been playing since i started it in 2011. I try a shooter every now and then on PC but I just really don't like the keyboard and mouse, even though that is what I started playing with years ago in shooters. I've always prefered a controller over them when it comes to shooters. So the PC is pretty much RTS and racing for me, with an occasional single player FPS or a more open shooter like Arma 2 or BF3 where quick twitch response isn;t as important.

What killed consoles for me was the COD series. All of my friends converted to it and will not paly anything else, and I can not stand that game. Now my 360 isn't even hooked up and my PS3 is nothing more then a blue ray player.
