Hey guys & gals, im new to the whole Hardcore Gammer building of PCs and need some help.

i wrote a post on face where some one told me i was doing everything wrong...

i wont some pros to confirm or deny this,

Here is my proposed rig

1x Thermaltake Armor Revo Black Full Tower Case [VO200M1W2N] (Not certain yet)
1x Formula-Z Motherboard [CROSSHAIRV-FORMULA-Z]
2x 16GB (2x8GB) RAM DDR3 [GS-F3-10666CL9D-16GBXL]
2x FX-8350 8 CPU [FD8350FRHKBOX] (1x Spare [OCing])
1x CPU Water Block for AMD [CPU-380A]
1x Sound & Ethernet Card [AR-GAME-BLASTER]
2x ASUS GeForce GTX 670 DirectCU II [ENGTX670-DC2-2GD5]
2x Heatkiller GPU-X³ GTX 670 Water Block Ni-Bl [15526]
1x Thermaltake 1500W Modular [TT-TP-1500MPCSAU]
1x Vantec EZ Swap F4 MRK-425ST-BK Removable Rack [MRK-425ST-BK]
4x 128GB SSD [OCZ-AGT4-25SAT3-128G] (Researching RAID)
1x Bluray Burner [BW-12B1ST]
1x Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit with SP1 OEM [GLC-01844]

To my knowlage, i dont need that much ram, i will be getting a third moniter (xtra graphics card) and obviously i'll be overclocking so water cooling.

i would go with the corsair 600t case....it is amazing

aslo i think ek blocks are better blocks

and if you have the money i would build an intel machine unless you are partial to amd

mushkin and crucial ssd's are better than OCZ now days as well...if you want i would put a list together for you or i am sure other people will chime in as well
post #3 of 16
SSD RAID is a pointless waste of cash especially 4 of them

Your waterloop is not complete???? (You dont need a custom loop to OC if you are new to PC's consider big air or closed loop coolers)

2 CPU's? for overclocking??????????????????????????? rolleyes.gif you only need 1

Get a cheaper motherboard think 990fx-ud5 price area

Game blaster thing is rubbish onboard network is fine as is sound but if you are a real audiophile get a soundcard.

You dont need a 1500W PSU a 750W would be more than enough even for future GTX670 SLi. Get an 850W if you really wanna go nuts

If you can't list 10 reasons you need win7 ultimate without looking it up you only need home premium.

Please don't take offence but that build is a terrible terrible mess. You would be best off telling us a budget and letting people here suggest things.

if your going all out i suggest you a 3570k or 3770k and lose the FX, SSD raid is useless, unless your recording/capturing Loseless Video and even then the size of the ssd aint enough for that.
for the money you might wana invest in 1 256 SSD or 128 and use the extra cash to Raid 0 2-3 2TB HDD.

Change the Mobo to a z77.
with that big budget I'd go for intel unless you really like AMD then go for the AMD......

edit: I see you ordered amd parts already, disregard above.

4k budget you really really should have gone Intel. You could have built a top of the range SB-E rig on socket 2011.

However as you have the AMD board and other parts (unless you can return them)
If sticking AMD

Keep the FX 8350 but only get 1.

I haven't looked up the RAM you listed by code. Just make sure it is at least 1600MHz and if you can get Low profile heatsinks so they dont get in the way of things

Get 1 SSD not SSD RAID. 256GB should be plenty for your OS and games

Get some 2 or 3 TB HDD's for storage, RAID these if you really want too

Grab a quality 850W from a good brand

Really though I would return all the stuff you have and build a vastly better rig with a budget that big.

I lean more to AMD then intel based on price, which is why i selected an 8 Core CPU for $215 instead of a Intel Core i7 3970X
