However as you have the AMD board and other parts (unless you can return them)
If sticking AMD

Keep the FX 8350 but only get 1.

I haven't looked up the RAM you listed by code. Just make sure it is at least 1600MHz and if you can get Low profile heatsinks so they dont get in the way of things

Get 1 SSD not SSD RAID. 256GB should be plenty for your OS and games

Get some 2 or 3 TB HDD's for storage, RAID these if you really want too

Grab a quality 850W from a good brand

Really though I would return all the stuff you have and build a vastly better rig with a budget that big.

You know, the 3970x isnt the only line of cpu's in that specific socket, and that one is the most expensive

I base performance on price, im an idiot that matches parts based on connectors and chooses the best by price...
why would you compare teh 8350 with a 3960x which is around 1000$
for a couple of more $ you can grab a 3770k.

I still think you should return the AMD kit. You haven't chosen the best even on price the motherboard is serious overpriced for what it is but anyway we all build a first rig that may not always be the best thought through design.
