My first ever Overclock, how does it look? Intel i5 750 from 2.66 to 4.01

I just transferred everything from my old case to my Rosewill Thor V2 and installed the Gamerstorm Assassin 8 heatpipe heatsink. Before in my old case and stock intel CPU cooler I would see it idle at 60-70 and load at 80-85 at stock 2.66 speeds. I've been running Prime 95 for about an hour now. I had the Rosewill Thor V2 fans at 100% and it wouldn't go over 55c so then I set them to lowest possible setting and it hasn't gone over 62c which is what the screen capture is. Did I do something wrong? All the reviews and etc I've seen say that such huge overclocks should be pushing 70 or 80c+. If everything looks right and I guess it's the Thor V2 / Gamerstorm Asssassin being so awesome should I try to aim for 4.2 or 4.5? Or will those OC's not be worth it past 4.0 on the i5 750?

Also these numbers are only with the Gamerstorm Assassin middle fan running. The second side fan isn't running for some reason, I think I need to just replug it in but I haven't had the chance yet.

Not bad at all biggrin.gif Keep going! I think you should be able to hit 4.2ghz with no problems. But I was wondering why your GPU is so darn toasty lol.

Am I going to notice a good speed increase by going from 4.0 to 4.2? Cause I've heard people say for example on their i5 3570k's its not really worth going from 4.5 to 4.7 since the increase isn't much performance wise. So I'm wondering what the i5 750 limit is for performance vs risk. Since I'd like this i5 to atleast last me for the next Intel refresh or the one after it depending on how the benchmarks are.

Yeah this is an MSI GTX 470. It's always run extremely hot for some reason. I've seen it hit 100+c sometimes during full load. But good news is that if my CPU can OC this much and won't bottleneck my video card I can grab a 7950 or 7970 later on without a problem.

Uh oh, after 1 hour 30 minutes it says. "Fatal Error: Rounding was 0.5 expected less than 0.4" on Worker #2. Also says Torture Test completed 61 tests in 1 hour 24 minutes 1 errors 0 warnings.

What does that mean? Is it my memory frequencies? I followed a youtube guide overclocking and I think he may have had higher memory speed than mine even though I used his numbers.
