watercooling reference 6950 2gb

hi,
i have a v1 reference 6950 2gb and im wondering what would be the best or decent watercooling block for price/performance.
im concidering building a full wc loop so will soon need help with deciding on other components aswell.

ive seen these blocks so far

i did find the xspc cheaper (£25) but is that a decent/ ok block to go with, i read the water doesnt go over the vrms and is a acetal peice connected to the copper


any help is apreciated guys and thanks in advance

im in the same boat as you, i just dont know how to tell if i have reference or not, some sites say i do some say i dont, i have no idea.

can you link a pic to your card or a pic of the back of the pcb on yours

edit: just did some research yours is based on a 6870 pcb

it would be better for you to sell your 6970 and use the money you were going to spend on a water loop and get yourself a nice current gen card. that will get you much more performance than water cooling an almost 2 gen old card...

How much do you think my card is worth. Need find the stock cooler as I have a 620 on it

$175. Use the $100 or so you were going to spend on water cooling it, and get your self a nice 660ti. That will get you way, way better performance than water cooling your 6970.
